Four gay-themed broadcast shows recently got the ax, but HBO is trying to reach that demographic with a new comedy set in San Francisco.
The premium cable network has handed out series orders to its untitled Michael Lannan project, The Hollywood Reporter has learned.
The eight-episode dramedy hails from Bored to Death’s Sarah Condon and Lannan and stars Glee and Bossalum Jonathan Groff as one of three friends in San Francisco who explore the fun and sometimes overwhelming options available to a new generation of gay men.
