Netflix is trying to lure adults with original fare like the new drama House of Cards and the upcoming season of Arrested Development.
The streaming giant isn’t forgetting about the kiddies.
Netflix is prepping a new animated series called Turbo F.A.S.T. (Fast Action Stunt Team) based on the upcoming DreamWorks film Turbo.
“Netflix boasts one of the largest and fastest-growing audiences in kids television,” DreamWorks Animation CEO Jeff Katzenberg says….The TV series will pick up from movie about a snail who, through an accident, becomes fast enough to compete in the Indianapolis 500.
As the parent of two young children I use Netflix nearly every day for their entertainment needs. The service offers a rich array of child-friendly content from Barney to Caillou. Plus, Netflix serves up similar content suggestions which are usually well received by my children, and when you stop a particular show it remembers where things left off the next time you click “play.”
It’s a bonus that my kids don’t endure a single commercial interruption.
A single new kid-centric series can hardly replace the wealth of existing content on the service, but it’s another sign Netflix means business.
