Nader: Violent Video Game Makers 'Electronic Child Molesters'

Ralph Nader, never one to mince words, has strong language for the makers of violent video games: “electronic child molesters.” Nader added that we have reached the “peak” of entertainment violence: “Television program violence? Unbelievable. Video game violence? Unprecedented.”

Nader said he wasn’t calling for censorship, but said that President Obama should use the weight of the presidency to create a movement against such violence: “I think he should sensitize [sic] people – that they should protect their children, family by family, from these kinds of electronic child molesters.”

Nader also attacked the conspicuous consumerism of Obama’s inauguration. “Tomorrow I’ll watch another rendition of political bulls*** by the newly re-elected president,” Nader said on Sunday, “full of promises that he intends to break just like he did in 2009. He promised he’d be tough on Wall Street, and not one of these crooks have gone to jail – they got some inside trading people, but that’s peripheral.
