Television’s newest odd couple are bringing the death of a beloved president to TV screens next month.
“Killing Lincoln,” based on the best seller by Bill O’Reilly and narrated by Tom Hanks, marks the first scripted drama presented by the National Geographic Channel.
The two stars’ public personalities couldn’t be much different. O’Reilly is an opinionated, center-right talker, while Hanks’ remains yet another solidly liberal presence in Hollywood.
They put aside partisan differences for “Killing Lincoln,” a project starring Billy Campbell as the 16th president and Jesse Johnson as the man who would kill the Great Emancipator.
