Keeping spirit with the millions of Americans fearful of the fiscal cliff, President Obama is slated to take part in Kennedy Center festivities today honoring celebrities including three members of Led Zeppelin. The Kennedy Center is honoring Obama flack and faux-comedian David Letterman, as well as Dustin Hoffman, Chicago blues musician Buddy Guy, and ballerina Natalia Makarova. Secretary of State Hillary Clinton will be hosting a dinner for these luminaries on Saturday.
When President Obama said he’d be willing to go anywhere and do anything to avoid the fiscal cliff, nobody thought he meant a posh reception for washed-up musicians.
