How Will Hollywood React to 'Two and a Half Men' Star's Show Slam?

And you thought L’Affaire Charlie Sheen was the craziest sideshow for CBS’s “Two and a Half Men.”

Angus T. Jones, who plays young Jake on the hit sitcom, is now speaking out against his own program. If Jones has his way, people will stop watching a show filled with “filth.”

In a testimonial for Forerunner Christian Church, Jones talks about discovering the Seventh-day Adventist movement and its impact on his life, ultimately concluding that he no longer wants to be apart of Two and a Half Men or its culture.

“If you watch Two and a Half Men, please stop watching Two and a Half Men,” Jones tells viewers (starts around the 7:43-minute mark). “I’m on Two and a Half Men, and I don’t want to be on it. Please stop watching it, and filling your head with filth.” Jones goes on to bash television in general, urging his fans to “do some research on the effects of television and your brain, and I promise you you’ll have a decision to make when it comes to television.”

So what will happen to Jones’ show business career, assuming he wishes to keep on acting? Will other networks rush in to hire him for more family-friendly fare? Will he be blackballed by the industry?

We do know this. Sheen’s career didn’t suffer significantly due to his histrionics, and his behavior went on for some time. He blasted the show’s creator and went on a national tour sharing his outrageous take on life, liberty and the pursuit of canned laughter. Yet he’s now gainfully employed as the star of “Anger Management.”

Will Hollywood be as forgiving to Jones given his objections are based on faith, not a fever for adult entertainers and recreational drugs?
