Last night’s Emmy Awards telecast featured liberal comic Jimmy Kimmel as host and feted the hatched job known as HBO’s “Game Change.”
Is it any wonder the telecast’s ratings drooped from 2011’s edition?
Early ratings numbers for the 2012 Emmy Awards are in, and the Jimmy Kimmel-hosted ABC telecast saw a slight decline from last year’s Emmys.
The broadcast of the 64th Annual Primetime Emmys brought in 11.60 million viewers, and scored a 3.3 in the key adults 18-49 demographic, according to Nielsen fast national numbers published by The Futon Critic. That’s a decrease from last year’s ceremony — hosted by Jane Lynch — which attracted 12.44 million viewers and scored a 4.2 demo rating on Fox.
And, yes, the Sunday night football Ravens-Patriots matchup torched TV’s biggest night.
