Last week, famed Romney-endorser Clint Eastwood sat down with Ellen DeGeneres to discuss his political philosophy.
Eastwood talked about his support for fiscal conservatism, spending restraint, limited government, and “leav[ing] everybody alone.”
While Eastwood’s appearance at the Republican Convention has been derided by some, he likely stands out as the most widely-familiar, non-political figure nationally to articulate a limited government message in recent years. That articulation may help spur more recognition of, and interest in, core center-right, libertarian-Republican values.
