You’d think the person overseeing the largest federal debt in U.S. history might have an inkling as to its size.
After all, President Barack Obama has helped said debt balloon to frightening levels during his three-plus years in office. Yet when Obama visited David Letterman yesterday for the president’s umpteenth friendly media appearance, the host stumped him on a very simple question.
Just how big is the debt after all?
