Projection? Director Brooks Can't Keep Mind off Christie's Weight, Ann Romney's Beauty

The man behind two of the ’80s best written films is pretty easily distracted these days.

James L. Brooks, who wrote and directed both “Broadcast News” and “Terms of Endearment,” had a curious reaction to the RNC speeches last night by Ann Romney and Gov. Chris Christie:

So, the man responsible for some of the sharpest screen dialogue in recent memory can’t separate the visuals from the text? Might it have anything to do with his entrenched liberal ideology – and a heaping helping of projection?
