'Happy Days' Stars Settle Merchandise Suit

LOS ANGELES, July 6 (UPI) —

Five former “Happy Days” stars will get about $65,000 apiece as part of an out-of-court-settlement with CBS and Paramount, The Hollywood Reporter said.

Anson Williams, Marion Ross, Don Most, Erin Moran and the late Tom Bosley’s wife sued the producers of the classic sitcom over profits from merchandising related to the show.

Filed last April, the lawsuit was due to be heard by a judge this month; however, Friday’s settlement means both sides can stay out of court, the entertainment industry trade newspaper said.
