Last night at the RightOnline conference in Las Vegas, Occupy Unmasked had an advance screening in front of an audience that included many friends of late conservative icon Andrew Breitbart.
It was fitting to show this documentary for the first time to bloggers who knew and respected Andrew and are passionate about continuing his work. Writer/Director Stephen K. Bannon and I were humbled by the response Occupy Unmasked received at RightOnline. It has been a trying time for both of us to complete this important film and give one of Andrew Breitbart’s last pieces of work its due.
Occupy Unmasked could not be a success without Andrew Breitbart. His vision to expose the Occupy Wall Street movement for what it truly is inspired Stephen and me throughout this process. Andrew’s lasting legacy will always be his no-holds-barred approach to journalism and telling the truth. Stephen and I were fortunate to have Breitbart associates shed light on the destructive nature of the Occupy Movement. Former leftists turned patriotic citizen journalists Brandon Darby, David Horowitz, Pam Key, Anita MonCrief, Mandy Nagy, Lee Stranahan, and others tell the story that the mainstream media won’t cover. As we saw with the underreported rapes and crimes committed in the camps throughout the country, the mainstream media just looks the other way.
Occupy Unmasked uses the Left’s own words against them and shows the world that they are really part of a long movement of anarchists and communists who loathe capitalism. The Occupy Wall Street movement is rooted in anarchy. From the anti-war protests in the 1960s to the IMF protests of recent years, the Occupy Wall Street crowd is comprised of the same leaders who want to end democracy and capitalism.
As we saw last month with the arrest of anarchists who were tied to the Occupy Movement plotting to bomb a bridge in Cleveland, these people will not rest. With both the Democrat and Republican National Conventions coming up in the summer, the Occupy Movement will have more targets to unleash their violence on – and as Brandon Darby can tell you, those threats are real.
Occupy Unmasked will be a necessary counterweight, as the mainstream media will no doubt continue to put up a smokescreen to protect the Occupy Movement. That’s where Breitbart’s army comes in. It is time to tell the truth about Occupy. It is time to show them: Breitbart is here.
