Rock Blames Bush, Excuses Obama, Blasts Romney's Faith

Remember when comedians used to look at the president and say, hmmm, what jokes can I tell about him? Now, elite stand-ups like Chris Rock simply spin on behalf of the Commander in Chief.

Welcome to the Age of Obama.

Rock was at it again last night, doing his darndest to support the most powerful man on the planet against hard-to-deny charges that President Barack Obama’s first term has been a dud.To do that, Rock pulled an Obama – he blamed Bush for the current economic woes while showing his insensitivity toward people struggling mightily to pay their bills.

“Obama’s had it tough, but Obama is good, man. But to think about Obama, you got to realize, man, first of all, the economy has been getting better every month, for almost like two years. And everybody’s going: It’s not getting better fast enough. It’s like complaining that your team keeps winning by one.”

Rock blamed former President George W. Bush for leaving Obama with such a fiscal mess, but the comedian also took a swing at presumptive GOP presidential candidate Mitt Romney’s faith.

I just heard this the other day. The Mormons, Mitt Romney’s crew, they believed black people were the devil until 1978. I’m not making this up. Right, right, right?

Imagine all the great jokes Rock could craft about a president who spent 20 years worshiping with a hateful reverend, named his autobiography after one of his sermons, called him his spiritual advisor and had the very same man officiate his wedding.
