Roger Ailes: Jon Stewart Told Me He's Basically a Socialist

Per Jim Romensko, so says Fox News Chief Roger Ailes:

Jon Stewart is a comedian. He wouldn’t do well without Fox. And he basically has admitted to me, in a bar, that he’s a socialist.

Of course Jon Stewart is a socialist. But like all elitist millionaire socialists, he’s one who sees himself as or who intends to be The State, should he win the day. In other words, Stewart would like to be the “benevolent” overlord who tells us what’s best for us, especially in areas of speech, an area Stewart is desperate to control.

What is so appalling about Jon Stewart is that he is a jester for The State and for The Powerful and for The Establishment. Stewart protects Obama — unless he isn’t liberal enough. And Stewart is such an establishment toady that he can’t even bring himself to see that Fox News is the outsider, the rebel, the upstart taking on the Goliath.

But what does Stewart do day after day on his low-rated program? He protects Goliath.

Stewart might be talented, but he’s also pathetic.

History will not be kind to Jon Stewart. He might be famous and even beloved by about about one-half of one-percent of the population, but he is a celebrity with no courage and not a man of distinction.
