Mass. Senate candidate Elizabeth Warren famously claimed intellectual credit for the Occupy Wall Street movement, but now she needs Hollywood One Percent types to boost her chances against incumbent Scott Brown.
One percenters like Matt Damon, Ben Affleck, J.J. Abrams (“Star Trek”) and “The Office’s” John Krasinski are lining up for an upcoming fundraiser on Warren’s behalf.
The May 21 event, which will be held at J.J. Abrams’ Bad Robot production studio, is Warren’s third fundraiser in the entertainment industry since she declared her candidacy against [Scott] Brown in September….Donations to attend the fundraiser range from $1,000 to $5,000.
This is the same woman who claimed credit for the “intellectual foundation” of the violent Occupy Wall Street movement which paints the rich one percent as a key problem in our society.
We’re sure she’ll give Damon, Affleck, Abrams and Krasinski an earful about how they should distribute their riches – once their respective campaign checks clear, of course.
