CRUNCHING THE NUMBERS: AMAZON PRIME VS. NETFLIX
I agree with all of this but would add one very important note: Amazon Instant is an absolute mess. The television programs and films are not organized in a way that makes anything easy to find, unless you want to use a remote to alphabetically search by title every time. There’s also no queue to store the shows you want to return to and worst of all, each individual television season is displayed as a separate selection and spread out through the menu instead of being conveniently stored under one main title.
You can literally search through dozens of pages before coming to the title you want to watch.
BEN KINGSLEY IN TALKS TO JOIN “IRON MAN 3” AS VILLAIN
It’s pretty impressive how Ben Kingsley has gone from winning the Academy Award for Gandhi to becoming a middle-aged badass.
Have you seen “Sexy Beast” yet? Ignore the awful-looking box art at the link and rent that sucker today. One of the best films of the aughts, with Kingsley playing one of the most menacing characters you’ll ever see.
‘CHUBBY’ ZOOEY DESCHANEL WAS BULLIED AT SCHOOL
Maybe we could get through this tedious round of cause célèbre faster were there to be a show of hands of those who weren’t bullied in school.
HALLE BERRY TO PLAY PAM GRIER IN BIOPIC
It’s like the cross-streaming of hotness.
CANADIAN WOMAN CHARGED WITH STALKING ALEC BALDWIN
Police were probably worried about her safety should she catch up to him.
MELISSA ETHERIDGE’S EX: I CAN’T LIVE ON $23K PER MONTH
Sometimes the push for same sex-marriage has its rewards.
OUTLOOK NOT SO GOOD FOR MADONNA’S SECOND-WEEK SALES
Madge is looking at a record crash this week; from 359,000 to 46,000.
TOM HANKS MAY PLAY WALT DISNEY IN MARY POPPINS FILM “SAVING MR. BANKS”
Great idea; have one of the most divisive and disliked movie stars portray a cherished American legend.

Patrick Swayze famously made it okay for tough guys to dance in the original, and with the director of High School directing a remake from a script by the guy from Glee, it seems all but impossible to find someone manly enough to play the lead this time around. They might have to get the actual Truckasaurus. Of course, there’s always C-Tates. He recently gave Elton John a lap dance, but I imagine this will be way gayer than that.

LAST NIGHT’S SCREENING
Reruns of “Adam-12” on Netflix Streaming. Better than anything on regular TV, that’s for sure. No commercials and I get to feel old discovering that some cars still had fins when I was a kid.
