Clooney Can't Keep Track of His Donations to Obama's Re-Election Campaign

Talk about your one percent problems.

Hollywood megastar George Clooney really, really wants President Barack Obama to serve a second term in the Oval Office. Earlier today we learned of Clooney’s new $40K per plate fundraiser for the president, a tony affair, to be sure.

Now, we’re finding out Clooney gave more than the legal amount to Obama’s re-election campaign. It’s safe to assume reg’lar folks don’t lose track of their massive political donations:

Clooney maxed out to the Joint Obama Victory Fund, which splits the money between the Obama campaign and the Democratic National Committee, with a $35,800 donation last April. But Clooney attempted to give another $5,000 earlier this year, according to the campaign, which was flagged by Chicago’s team of vetters, and returned in February.
