'The Dark Knight Rises' Earns PG-13 Rating

The third chapter in director Christopher Nolan’s Batman franchise won’t need a campaign to reduce its MPAA rating.

“The Dark Knight Rises,” which hits theaters July 20, will be rated PG:13 for “intense sequences of violence and action, some sensuality and language.”

The film features Batman (Christian Bale) battling Bane (Tom Hardy) while grappling with whatever Catwoman (Anne Hathaway) throws the Caped Crusader’s way.
