Staff workers on Rosie O’Donnell’s axed chat show have described working conditions as a ‘hell hole’.
And in a new development, the embattled presenter is said to be furious at Oprah Winfrey over the way she was dropped from OWN.
According to reports, Oprah and Rosie are not on speaking terms after The Rosie Show was unceremoniously dropped from the cable channel.
RadarOnline reports that Oprah called Rosie ahead of Friday’s announcement her show was being cancelled and that it was a ‘very strained conversation’.
A source told the website: ‘Oprah wanted to handle the announcement of the cancellation in a professional and dignified manner. Rosie thanked Oprah for the opportunity and ended the conversation very abruptly.’
But Rosie was apparently unhappy at the language used in the press release making Oprah’s decision public.
When Oprah’s public relations team at OWN asked Rosie to call Orpah directly, she failed to do so and got her own camp to act as a go-between, the website claims.
