Last night, the Obama campaign released a 15 minute puff piece titled The Road We’ve Traveled. Directed by Davis Guggenheim, who also directed the fantasy documentary An Inconvenient Truth, this “documentary” film features the same type of prevarication its predecessor did. In order to sell the product and protect its subject, the Obama campaign has been scrubbing all negative comments on YouTube; they froze the comments this morning.

This kind of behavior is nothing new for Obama’s handlers; they also foisted Attack Watch on us, a website devoted to countering criticism of the President; the health care “anti-disinformation” brigade, where the White House website asked its backers to email flag@whitehouse.gov if they saw “something on the web about health insurance reform that seems fishy”; and the Fight the Smears campaign during the 2008 election cycle.

In his State of the Union Address, President Obama focused on fairness. “We can either settle for a country where a shrinking number of people do really well while a growing number of Americans barely get by, or we can restore an economy where everyone gets a fair shot, and everyone does their fair share, and everyone plays by the same set of rules.”   “No American company should be able to avoid paying its fair share of taxes.  “It’s not fair when foreign manufacturers have a leg up on ours …”  “Now, a return to the American values of fair play and shared responsibility will help protect our people …”

In the same spirit of fairness, we now open our comment section for all fair-minded Americans to post their criticisms of The Road We’ve Traveled.  Have at it.
