Win Clint Eastwood's 'Unforgiven' on Blu-ray

Two lucky – and creative – Big Hollywood readers can win a free Blu-ray copy of Clint Eastwood’s Oscar-winning western “Unforgiven.”

The 1992 film let Eastwood return to the genre which forged his big screen career. But rather than fall back on his familiar, gun-totin’ ways, “Unforgiven” let Eastwood deconstruct the toll violence takes on a man without robbing us of any blistering action. Eastwood plays a retired gunslinger lured back into action after a prostitute is brutally disfigured.

Gene Hackman won a Best Supporting Oscar for his villainous turn as the film’s sheriff, one of four golden statuettes the 1992 feature earned.

The contest invites Big Hollywood readers to pen an essay on your favorite Eastwood movie (between 300 and 500 words) and email them to John Nolte (jnolte@breitbart.com) and Christian Toto (ctoto@breitbart.com). The two best essays will win and have their work posted at Big Hollywood.

The essay must include a physical address (we cannot mail prizes to P.O. boxes).

“Unforgiven” on Blu-ray includes a “digibook” package featuring behind-the-scenes photos, cast bios, quotes and essays on the landmark film. The bonus features include audio commentary with Eastwood’s longtime biographer Richard Schickel, a quartet of documentaries on both the production and its star, and an episode of the TV classic “Maverick” featuring Eastwood.
