Funny man Chris Tucker owes the IRS a whopping $11,571,909.26 million in unpaid taxes. He owes the state of Georgia’s Department of Revenue another $592,594.82, reports TMZ.
Grand total: $12,164,504.08.
y9WGUjDF7vkGiven Mr. Tucker’s 2008 staunch support for Barack Obama’s big government schemes for America, one would think Mr. Tucker would be eager to pay his “fair share” as part of the “1%” to help fund Mr. Obama’s proposed $3.8 trillion budget.
But apparently not.
Chris Tucker earned his privileged one-percenter status by raking in a reported $20 million for “Rush Hour 2” and another $25 million for “Rush Hour 3.”
As far as the government is concerned, Mr. Tucker’s debt is no laughing matter.
The federal government wants Mr. Tucker’s unpaid taxes from 2001, 2002 and 2004 through 2006. The State of Georgia is still waiting for the taxes Tucker owes from 2007. Still, Tucker’s tax woes haven’t cost him his sense of humor.
“That’s the last time I let Wesley Snipes help me out with my taxes,” said Tucker.
No word yet on if Tucker supports his hero Obama’s plans to stick it to the “one percent” by raising their–that is to say Tucker’s–taxes.
