Even Jon Stewart couldn’t stomach the layers of hypocrisy – and filth – at the heart of Occupy Wall Street.

“The Daily Show” honored the end – for now – of Occupy Wall Street’s Occupation of Wall Street by sending one of its crack reporters to cover the movement. What they found was hypocrisy of the highest order, the kind of uncomfortable to watch comedy conservatives have been waiting to see since OWS first began.

So much material, and so few comedians having a crack at it.

But even the liberal folks over at the Comedy Central program couldn’t hold back. The result? A dilly of a comedy segment which didn’t even bother interviewing the most mentally unstable OWS members for comedy gold. They didn’t have to in order to mock the oh, so mockable OWS.

Stewart opened the segment by calling OWS the “least toileted generation,” while the studio audience tittered awkwardly. Stewart then handed the show over to reporter Samantha Bee.

“Occupy Wall Street was divided by class. On the one side, the elites with their library, apple pop up store and … espresso machines. On the other, the downwardly mobile with their drum circles,” Bee said.

From there, Bee highlighted the arrogance on display, from affluent OWS members who dare not say a politically incorrect word about their poor brethren to the very fact that some OWS members can barely make ends meet. Then, she went in for the comedy kill.

“Let me get this straight. You’ve been here for eight weeks, and you already have a ghetto?” she asks an OWS protester, who looks seriously dazed by the question.

When you’ve lost Stewart and his progressive pals at “The Daily Show,” you know you’re far-left movement is in trouble.
