Something electrifying happened in my home state of Wisconsin Saturday afternoon, and not just Governor Sarah Palin’s grand-slam of a speech, which, contrary to Politico’s phony spin, was perfectly aimed at the smoldering and growing pile of Barack Obama’s failures. Something else I saw Saturday were the people I know and grew with, and who represent the very best this country has to offer. President Obama calls them “bitter clingers,” Public Employee Unions see them as “sugar daddies,” decent people see them as the salt-of-the earth. But after months of only seeing the Badger State represented by cowardly fleabagging legislators, community organized thugs, union goons, and crybaby public sector workers — what a relief it was to finally see the spotlight on those who make the world turn instead of those who think it revolves around them.

Along with Governor Palin, Andrew Breitbart, and the Wall Steet Journal’s John Fund, these good people stepped right into the breach, right into the dark, ugly heart of what might be remembered as the Waterloo of community organizing. Out-numbered by obnoxiously astro-turfed pro-union leftists enraged by the gall of democracy to oppose the entitled class we call Public Unions, one after another, the uncommonly decent people of my home state (and elsewhere) stood up in Madison and spoke truth to profane, hysterical, openly un-American, child-trashing goons.
And other than Palin’s speech and my boss telling them all to “go to hell,” what you’ll see above was my favorite moment of an afternoon filled with favorite moments.

Ladies and gentleman, fellow Tea Partiers, I want you to know that I’m a state work and for now a member of Local 892. But my union does not speak for me! In fact, many of my co-workers reject all of the actions that have happened over the past couple of months. Whether it be trashing our capitol or picketing private citizens’ homes to bullying small business owners like my brother and Dawn Bobo. These tactics are un-American and they are disgraceful. And yet they try and convince us that this is what democracy looks like? I beg to differ.
When I was in the Middle East, I saw the creation of democracy and the bullying and intimidation tactics, they were carried out by the enemy, not by the ones that stood for freedom. The union has even tried to convince us that the Fab 14 are some sort of folk heroes. Well, let me tell you something, I took an oath real similar to what they did and instead of doing their job — they’re wrong, they’re cowards, that’s all you can say about it.
They even flew in a Socialist like Michael Moore to speak on their behalf. Well, I’m sorry, if Michael Moore has to speak for you, you’re on the wrong side of the debate. I’ll take Sarah Palin over Michael Moore any day. She’s speaks the truth, her policies make sense, and she’s a lot easier on the eyes.
