“Narrated by Matt Damon.”

Yawn.

Did anyone hear the words Freddie or Fannie in that clip? How about toxic mortgages. Community Reinvestment Act. ACORN?

No you did not.

Don’t misunderstand me, I’m no Wall Street fan, and Obama bailing the Too Big To Failers out was infuriating. But so is this all-out assault from Hollywood and the MSM to rewrite history and pretend that a Too Stupid To Be Believed welfare program wasn’t also a major part of the financial crisis.

Like “The Tillman Story” and Oliver Stone’s “South of the Border,” here comes what looks to be yet another one of those left-wing documentaries all kinds of left-wing critics will gush over because it’s left wing. “Inside Job” is brought to you by Craig Ferguson, the creator behind the now ironically titled Iraq War doc “No End In Sight,” which made a whopping $1.4 million at the box office in 2007.

These films are what I call Loss Leaders, where wealthy leftists like George Soros fund this junk knowing the product is unlikely to ever make a profit. But they still consider the investment worthwhile as a kind of political contribution. The playbook is simple: Make a doc for a few million dollars knowing that the butt-boy entertainment press will give it (and its left-wing message) all kinds of attention, as will the spittle fleckers at MSNBC and the furrowed self-important brows who infest the rest of the MSM.

By using the overwhelming power of glossy Hollywood, for a reasonably small investment, you’ve not only slipped your toxic talking points into the American political narrative, you’ve also travelled the world to attend film festivals and moved one step closer to becoming one of the beautiful people.

Nice work if you can get it. The only price is your soul.
