On Thursday’s broadcast of Newsmax TV’s “Spicer & Co.,” Rep. John Moolenaar (R-MI) said that the Biden administration’s economic policies and vaccine mandates have led to supply chain issues and called on the administration to quickly use the Defense Production Act and make it easier to import baby formula from the European Union to help solve the national shortages of baby formula that are “a life and death matter to families.”
Moolenaar said, “This situation also, it just says that this economic disaster of the Biden administration, with supply chain shortages, the vaccine mandates didn’t help, paying people extra money not to work, it’s led to a lot of problems, the trucking issues. So, we have many problems in our economy. There are many things that the White House could be doing to make this. They could use the Defense Production Act. They could look at ways to make it easier for the European Union products to come to this country to solve this problem, but they’re going to have to act quickly. Because this is a life and death matter to families.”
He added that the administration is “distracted on so many other levels” and so they’ve neglected economic problems.
