A man was violently beaten for $2 at a Kennedy Fried Chicken restaurant location in New York City, police said.
The New York Police Department (NYPD) shared a video of the alleged assault and is asking the public for help in identifying the suspect.
The video showed the man approaching the 36-year-old male victim, demanding money, and then punching the victim in the face multiple times.
Police said the suspect then fled with $2 stolen from the victim. CBS New York reported the victim was able to get up and run from the situation.
The incident took place March 31 around 9:50 p.m. in the Soundview neighborhood of the Bronx, Fox 5 New York reported.
The victim suffered minor facial injuries.
Police describe the suspect as being a dark-skinned male, in his late 20s to early 30s, and 5’8″ tall. He was last seen wearing blue jeans, a black hooded jacket, black sneakers, and a multi-colored bandanna hanging around his neck.
