A New Mexico cop got an unwelcome side with his burger meal Thursday after he noticed a picture of a pig drawn on his fast-food order.

Officer Timo Rosenthal was on duty and in uniform while on his lunch break Thursday afternoon when he ordered a burger at the Clovis, New Mexico, Burger King. Once he noticed the derogatory symbol, he took a picture of it and uploaded it to Facebook.

“The patties were burnt and the burger was of very poor quality. Guess that was the last time I ate at Burger King in Clovis, NM,” the post reads.

His post soon went viral, gaining more than 2,000 shares and 3,700 comments on Facebook as of Monday.

“I don’t think it’s a joke, I think it’s a horrible way to treat a man in uniform. I’m from Colorado and want to say I appreciate all that you do, and God Bless you for your service,” one Facebook user said in the comments.

“So sorry this happened! Thank you for your and all police officers for your service. You guys do an amazing job keeping us safe. And for those who take this time to be rude and hateful, I hope you never need,” another user wrote.

Eventually, news of the officer’s mistreatment made its way up the food chain at Burger King.

The vice president of Burger King in Clovis said in a statement that the franchise does not tolerate that kind of treatment from law enforcement officers or anyone else.

KRQE reported that the five Burger King employees involved have been fired.
