Man Allegedly Kills Son After Boy Eats Father’s Day Cake

A Milwaukee man was arrested and accused of beating his son to death after the boy ate a cheesecake the man received for Father’s Day.

Travis Stackhouse was charged with first-degree reckless homicide when the child was found dead last Saturday, according to Local 10 News.

The Milwaukee County Medical Examiner’s Office found that the five-year-old child had died from being punched in the abdomen.

A police report says that Stackhouse called paramedics and reported that his son fell down the stairs. But first responders did not feel the child’s injuries were consistent with a fall.

Paramedics reported that the child had black eyes, a cut on his lip, and bruises to his abdomen. The police were then called.

The Milwaukee police report says that Stackhouse punched the small child after the boy had eaten the cheesecake. He then left to go to a bar, and the child’s mother called paramedics at 2 a.m.

“This baby was little, tiny, close to 20 pounds or so and you doing all that? It’s ridiculous,” said the little boy’s aunt, Macshaunya Wright.

“I can’t fathom that,” Wright added. “I can’t even put that in the same sentence and then over some cake are you serious?”
