A vehicle struck a group of pedestrians in downtown Manhattan Monday evening, killing one and injuring at least five people, say reports.
Authorities and first responders are on scene at the alleged incident near Canal and Forsyth Streets in the Chinatown section of downtown Manhattan.
According to the New York Daily News: “A high-ranking police department source said the crash happened when an older man was parking his car. The motorist stayed at the scene, said the source.”
“It looks like a straightforward traffic collision,” a law enforcement official told the newspaper.
