Police arrested a fugitive disguised as an elderly man after he had been on the run for several months in Massachusetts.
Authorities surrounded the Cape Cod house where 31-year-old Sean Miller had been hiding out, ready to arrest him.
Miller, however, surprised police when he came to the door convincingly disguised as an elderly man, according to local Fox affiliate KDVR.
Police quickly determined that the elderly man was in fact Miller and arrested him on heroin trafficking charges.
Miller had been on the run since April 2016 in connection with several others who had been indicted on heroin charges, according to The U.S. Attorney’s Office for the District of Massachusetts.
Police say the disguise cost $2,000 and was used as an attempt to throw police off Miller’s trail, Fox News reports.
Authorities reportedly searched the premises and found two loaded guns as well as $30,000 in cash in a laundry basket.
The arrest was made as part of an investigation by the Bureau of Alcohol, Tobacco, Firearms & Explosives into the Nauti street gang, a major drug-trafficking organization in Cape Cod.
