On Tuesday’s “CNN Newsroom,” IDF Spokesperson Peter Lerner urged the world to support Israel’s effort to not only free itself and its citizens from the threat of terrorism and death from Hamas, but also to “free the people of Gaza from this terrible organization that has failed them miserably as a governing authority, as an organization, as a terrorist entity that has no regard for anybody’s life.”
Lerner said, “[W]e intend on changing the paradigm once and for all. What we’re asking from the world is to support this effort to change the paradigm, to free Israel from this looming threat, from the never-ending sort of death that Hamas wields above our heads, but also, free the people of Gaza from this terrible organization that has failed them miserably as a governing authority, as an organization, as a terrorist entity that has no regard for anybody’s life.”
He also stated that Hamas is holding “two million Palestinians hostage” in addition to the Israelis they are holding. And that “the international aid organizations [need] to be part of the solution of the ridding us from — ridding us and ridding the people of Gaza from this brutal, merciless terrorist organization that has no regard for any life, Israeli or Palestinian.”
