Thursday on Fox News Channel’s “America’s Newsroom,” Republican National Committee chairwoman Ronna McDaniel offered her assessment on the 2020 Democratic presidential field.
After acknowledging her bias as a Republican, she said it was her view former Vice President Joe Biden was “floundering,” which is allowing the other candidates to catch up.
“I think Joe Biden has floundered,” she said. “I’m a Republican, and I’m biased. He has forgotten which state he is in. He forgot which president he worked for. He’s made up stories. It’s time after time after time these gaffes are adding up. It raises questions about is he ready for this presidency? And, beyond that, he is embracing the socialist movement of the Democrat Party. He tries to act like a moderate, but last night he is the one who praised the Green New Deal. I think Joe Biden is floundering and you are seeing others come up. I hope it’s a long, drawn-out contest and many of them compete until that convention which is brokered in 2020.”
