Thursday during an appearance on “CNN Newsroom,” 2020 Democratic presidential candidate Rep. Tulsi Gabbard (D-HI) ruled out running as an independent if she does not win the Democratic nomination.
Gabbard, who did not qualify for the September debate, said she will continue focusing on moving her campaign forward and delivering her message to Americans.
“I will not [run as an independent],” Gabbard stated. “I’ve ruled that out. I’m going to continue to focus on moving our campaign forward, continuing this grassroots campaign, continuing to deliver our message to the American people.”
Gabbard took issue in a Wednesday Fox News Channel appearance with the Democratic National Committee for failing to live up to expectations of transparency in determining who is eligible for the upcoming presidential debates.
