Wednesday on MSNBC, former U.S. Rep. Donna Edwards (D-MD) discussed a new poll from Quinnipiac that showed the five 2020 Democratic frontrunners beating President Donald Trump.
Edwards said, “I think it’s certainly true among our frontrunners this is no longer really a question of electability. Anyone of our Democrats at the top tier can be elected president of the United States.
She continued,” I think if you look down at the details of this poll what it shows, in fact, voters have been paying attention to the Democratic primary race and they are paying attention to the president. They are dissatisfied with him. They are dissatisfied with the direction of the country and they are increasingly dissatisfied with the economy. All of this spells real disaster up ahead for the president.”
She added, “Clearly any one of these Democrats is going to be able to unite the Democratic Party against Donald Trump. Those numbers really show that very plainly.”
