Pelosi: ‘Moscow Mitch’ Is Trying to Kill Legislation That’s ‘Alive and Well’ with the Public

While speaking at the Illinois Democratic County Chairs’ Association Brunch on Wednesday, House Speaker Nancy Pelosi (D-CA) referred to Senate Majority Leader Mitch McConnell (R-KY) as “Moscow Mitch” and criticized him for his vow to block pieces of legislation passed by the House of Representatives.

Pelosi said, “We’ve sent our legislation to the Senate. Moscow Mitch says that he is the grim reaper. Imagine describing yourself as the grim reaper, that he’s going to bury all this legislation. Well, we have news for him, all this legislation is alive and well in the general public.”
