During a Monday interview on MSNBC’s “Morning Joe,” Democratic presidential candidate Andrew Yang explained how Americans have a “mistrust” of the system and questioned if it “is working for them.”

Yang said both Republicans and Democrats “share a responsibility” for the wealth and income acquired at the top of society over many decades.

“Americans do mistrust now that the system is working for them, and that’s very, very hard to get back,” Yang told author Jeff Greenfield. “Like, you can’t magically reconstitute trust. And so this is going to be a massive set of challenges for us for years to come, regardless of who’s the White House.”
