Julián Castro: ‘Trans Men, Women Who Have Become Men’ ‘Have Reproductive Rights’

On Thursday’s broadcast of ABC’s “The View,” 2020 presidential candidate former HUD Secretary and former San Antonio Mayor Julián Castro (D) discussed his remarks at the debate the night before about abortion rights for trans women and stated that “There are trans men, women who have become men, who are transgender, who have reproductive rights.”

Castro said, “There are trans men, women who have become men, who are transgender, who have reproductive rights. And what I was saying was that we need to recognize everybody’s reproductive rights.”

Castro reiterated his support for government funding of abortion.
