Dershowitz: Mueller 'Not Only Put His Thumb on the Scale Against President Trump -- He Put His Elbow on the Scale'

Harvard Law School Professor Emeritus Alan Dershowitz on Sunday reacted to FBI special counsel Robert Mueller’s press conference to address his report regarding his investigation into alleged Russian collusion.

Dershowitz told John Catsimatidis, host of New York AM 970 radio’s “The Cats Roundtable,” that Mueller implied there was evidence of guilt on President Donald Trump’s part, which he said showed Mueller’s partisanship in the investigation.
“That press conference just showed [Mueller’s] partisanship,” Dershowitz stated. “He not only put his thumb on the scale against President Trump — he put his elbow on the scale. And he did it improperly. A prosecutor is supposed to decide whether or not there is sufficient evidence to indict. If there isn’t, he’s supposed to shut up.”

“Mueller implied that there is evidence of guilt by Donald Trump when he said if there were no clear evidence of guilt he would’ve said so. That’s just the wrong thing for a special counsel to say,” he added.
