During an interview with CNN broadcast on Tuesday’s “New Day,” former Supreme Court Justice John Paul Stevens stated that Justice Brett Kavanaugh is doing a good job so far, and “his decisions will determine how good a judge he’ll be.”
Interviewer John Berman asked, “Do you think he’s doing a good job as justice?”
Stevens responded, “Yes.”
Berman then asked, “Do you regret, then, saying during the confirmation hearings that you didn’t think he should be confirmed?”
Stevens answered, “Perhaps I shouldn’t have said what I did, but I think his decisions will determine how good a judge he’ll be.”
