On Wednesday’s broadcast of CNN’s “OutFront,” 2020 presidential candidate, former HUD Secretary, and former San Antonio Mayor Julián Castro (D) stated that if Attorney General William Barr refuses to testify before the House Judiciary Committee on Thursday, he should be held in contempt and impeachment proceedings against Barr should begin.

Castro said, “I hope they hold him in contempt, if indeed, he refuses to testify tomorrow, like he had agreed to. But I don’t believe that that’s enough. I believe that he should either resign, or he should be impeached.”

Host Erin Burnett then asked, “[D]o you think they should begin those proceedings essentially now if he does not show up tomorrow?”

Castro responded, “I do.”
