GOP Rep. Joyce on the Border Crisis: ‘What’s Being Done Is Not Enough’

Tuesday on Fox Business Network’s “Mornings with Maria,” Rep. John Joyce (R-PA) shared insight into his trip to the southern border to see the crisis at the border firsthand and the importance of building a wall to protect the United States.

Joyce called on legislators to do more to strengthen border security.

“We’re seeing that had we built the wall we would be protected,” Joyce told host Maria Bartiromo. “I come from a district in southcentral Pennsylvania where the heroin, the fentanyl that permeates through the southern border have such a devastating impact on my district. I came [to Arizona] in the attempt to shine the light and find out what’s important and how we can work harder to support strengthening our southern border.”

“What’s being done right now is not enough. We need to go back and vote to put more effort and energy to do what the president wants to secure our southern border, to make us stronger, to stem the tide of the undocumented who come here, to change what the asylum seekers are looking for to achieve,” he added.
