Wednesday on Fox Business Network’s “Varney & Company,” Sen. Marco Rubio (R-FL) made his case for keeping China tech company Huawei out of the United States of America, citing a “national security issue.”

Rubio pointed out Huawei is not like Verizon or AT&T because it has to give the Chinese government anything it asks for, including spying if instructed to do so.

“We’ve got a big, big problem when [Huawei is] embedded in your infrastructure,” Rubio told host Stuart Varney. “They should not be in business in America.”

The senator went on to say Huawei’s access has nothing to do with trade.

“This is a national security issue. … There is no trade deal, no matter how good it is, that can make up for their ability to directly steal and spy on America, which is what Huawei’s presence in this country — and frankly not just this country, but in networks all around the world create a problem,” he added.
