Thursday on CNN’s “New Day,” Rep. David Cicilline (D-RI) commented on the Michael Cohen testimony against President Donald Trump on Capitol Hill, saying it does appear the president was “engaged in crimes while in office.”
“[I]t does appear in fact that the president engaged in crimes while in office,” Cicilline said he now believes after hearing Cohen. “We saw evidence really of a crime spree that began before he became president and continued into the White House.”
The representative from Rhode Island went on to say the allegations Cohen made against Trump are “serious,” adding that the House Judiciary Committee has a responsibility to “fully investigate.”
