Thursday on CNN’s “New Day,” Sen. Richard Blumenthal (D-CT) commented on the report that FBI special counsel Robert Mueller’s is on the verge of coming out.

Blumenthal warned that the public will “rightly believe” there is a coverup if Attorney General William Barr does not bring charges against President Donald Trump if Mueller indicts him.

“[H]e has to make a decision — is he going to be the people’s lawyer or is he going to be the president’s lawyer?” Blumenthal stated. “Clearly, this president regards the attorney general as one of his minions, he has no respect for the law, in fact, utter contempt for judges and the judicial process and he has denounced relentlessly … the FBI and other law enforcement — absolutely unprecedented, shattering all the norms.”
