Tuesday on “Fox & Friends,” Rep. Lee Zeldin (R-NY) reacted to the anti-Semitic and anti-Israel remarks from fellow Rep. Ilhan Omar (D-MN) and her apology after receiving backlash.
Zeldin said there is a “double standard” with how Democrats rushed to criticize Rep. Steve King (R-IA) for his white nationalism while they rushed away from condemning Omar’s anti-Semitism, adding he does not think her apology was “sincere.”
“The apology itself states that it’s an unequivocal apology, but it’s filled with equivocation,” Zeldin stated.
“Her apology comes across as ‘Sorry Not Sorry’ from Devi Lovato,” he continued. “I don’t take it as a real sincere apology, and when she was asked about it last night on video, you see a lack of empathy and understanding.”
