During a Tuesday panel discussion on CNN’s “New Day” about the reported $1.3 billion deal reached by lawmakers to fund border security, co-host Alisyn Camerota laughed off the idea of President Donald Trump standing up to conservative pundits like Sean Hannity and Ann Coulter.
Hannity called the new deal a “garbage compromise,” while Coulter warned no wall could result in the United States of America falling to socialism.
CNN’s Berman said Trump has the “option” of standing up to Sean Hannity.
“He doesn’t have to do what Sean Hannity says here,” Berman added. “He could say, ‘We’re getting this barrier. It’s better for the 800,000 federal workers if they get paid.'”
“Stop your crazy talk,” Camerota replied.
