Representative Jim Jordan (R-OH) reacted Thursday on “Fox & Friends” to Democrats continuing to push back against President Donald Trump’s planned border wall and stance that the situation at the border is a “national emergency.”
Jordan said it is “crazy” for Democrats to not see the crisis at the border, adding the wall needs to be built.
“We will look at [requesting less than the initial $5.7 billion], but you have to understand what we are dealing with today,” Jordan stated. “Ten years ago, all the Democrats were for exactly for what we’re for, what the American people want, most importantly what the president campaigned on and won on. We need a border security wall. But look at their positions. [Rep. Earl Blumenauer (D-OR] now says, ‘Oh, we got to abolish ICE.’ Their candidate for president campaigned on a borderless hemisphere, even though 10 years ago she said we need money for a barrier, money for a wall.”
