Tuesday on MSNBC’s “Deadline,” Rep. Eric Swalwell (D-CA) called President Donald Trump a “grifter” when discussing the investigations into Trump’s 2016 campaign and administration.
Swalwell said, “The American people need to understand why these investigations are so important. Remember, now, it’s not just the Southern District of New York, not just the Mueller probe and not just Congress, also, there are subpoenas issued by the state of Maryland yesterday and so when you have a grifter president, that affects his ability to advocate on behalf of the American people. And it affects his ability to deliver on the promises he made in the campaign trail.”
