Monday, White House counselor Kellyanne Conway defended President Donald Trump hiding details of a conversation he had with Russian President Vladimir Putin in 2017 because he had a “great concern” of the leaking that was going on at the time.

“That was a time when there were tremendous leaks, including from when the president would have meetings in the Oval Office. And I can recall early on two calls with foreign leaders, I believe Mexico and Australia, the contents of which leaked almost immediately. So there was great suspicion that some people, obviously were leaking this,” Conway said on “Fox & Friends.”

Conway went on to point out how tough the president has been on Russia with expulsions and sanctions as proof of Trump not colluding with Russia, something of which she said there is still no evidence.
